Mayor Dixon Visits The CARE Community's Madeira Gardens!

On Saturday October 18, Mayor Sheila Dixon came by for a visit and lunch with community members at the Madeira Street Gardens in the 400 Block of  Madeira Street. The day started out with a very cold morning as the CARE Community participated in Community Clean Up Day sponsored by Mayor Dixon. By the time of the Mayor's arrival around 12:00 noon, the weather had warmed and was perfect for an outdoor lunch with our Mayor.

During Mayor Dixon's visit she sat and talked with community members as she had lunch, with much of the produce going into the meal coming from our very own Madeira Street Gardens! We in the CARE Community really enjoyed our visit and lunch with the Mayor, we would like to thank Mayor Dixon for her visit and we all hope that she will pay us a visit again very soon.
